The Taegukki
The Korean national flag is called theTaegukki.
The traditional color of the Korean
people (white) is on the flag forming the background. There is the circular mark,
which is the ancient Chinese Yin-Yan, but the Korean flag contains a red and blue Yin-Yan representing opposites. Like sky and ground, female and male, light and dark etc.
In the corners of the flag are four trigrams. Each one representing one of the four seasons,
and one of the elements in the universe. The Earth, moon, sun, and heaven.
