Elementry school in Korea starts at 9:00am and ends at about 2:45pm. Middle school starts at 9:00am and ends at about 2:45pm. High school starts and ends at about the same time.Most kids in Korea have many extra activities out of school like: maths, foreign languages, and other studying types of lessons. Parents in Korea are very strict about their children and their studying habbits, so they make their children study hard and they always want the best for their children. Children in school are very competitive with their school subjects especialy maths. The smarter, the better. That's kind of the way they like to see it. Kids in Korea (middle school/high school) have time to go out with their friends, but kids who are really competitive in school and want to be the best will keep on studying and will keep studying until midnight and more!!! Some kids don't even have time to sleep....(the most would probably be a couple of hours or less). They will only sleep for a couple of hours at once so that they can wake up early in the morning to study again or they'll sleep for a short time between studying.
