Korea has a very unique alphabet called 'hangul'.
The Korean language is a simple language, but most people learning the language would find it very difficult. It is made up of 10 vowels and 14 consonant souunds. The characters in the alphabet are put together to make one sound or sylable. The least number of characters put together to make a sound is two (as shown in the chart/diagram to the right), and the most would be four. But as in the english language, the Korean language has silent letters like most e's in the english language. For some examples, click on some of the black letters that border the alphabet.
