Bandung International School is an IB World School, authorized to offer the Primary Years and Diploma Programmes. The mission of the International Baccalaureate Organisation is closely aligned with that of Bandung International School:

“The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.”

Both programmes are inquiry-based, internationally-recognised and regularly reviewed. They place an emphasis on the Learner Profile (link to LP page) and on international mindedness and mutual respect.

Communications regarding the IB PYP and Diploma Programmes are available regularly through the school’s IBIS publication, as well as this website, emails and school notice boards. IB information sessions for the PYP and DP are held periodically and advertised in the BIS Buzz weekly publication.
