Early Childhood Programmes - Bandung International School

The Early Childhood department offers an outstanding education for children from age three (Early Childhood 1 & Early Childhood 2) through age five (Early Childhood 3). Following the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, students are engaged in developmentally appropriate, activities which promote learning through inquiry.

Our programme features certified Early Childhood specialists at all levels. We have purpose built Early Childhood classrooms with child scale facilities and furniture, a rich array of instructional and manipulative materials, a large covered outdoor activity area and a segregated Early Childhood playground, providing a safe, stimulating environment for exploration and discovery.

Our students utilize the full range of excellent facilities and staff at BIS. In Early Childhood 1 and Early Childhood 2 this includes specialist support for Music, Indonesian Language and Culture and Swimming. In addition to the above, the Early childhood 3 programme has specialist support for Art, Physical Education, and Library Skills.

Early Childhood 1 and Early Childhood 2 students attend a half-day programme and Early Childhood students attend for the full day. Parent involvement in their child's educational development is encouraged and we are proud of the interaction between parents, teachers and students. This shared partnership between school and home allows our students to achieve their fullest potential. Parent-Teacher conferences, progress reports and Student Led conferences are built into the academic calendar to allow parents the opportunity to keep abreast of their child's development.
