Asch
Asch is a small and rural village with a few hundred inhabitants. It is part of the old Graafschap Buren and since 1811 of the municipality of Buren. The village has several beautiful farmhouses. Oranjestad Buren
In the historic town of Buren, one will find various fortifications and a city gate which are still largely intact. With no fewer than 100 state monuments and 55 municipal monuments, Buren has a protected cityscape. All this makes it a particularly lively town with numerous amenities. It is especially enjoyable to stroll along the many shops and studios. A school for primary education and a football and tennis club are also located in Buren.
Blooming Betuwe
Asch is located in the heart of the Betuwe. The Betuwe is best known for its fruit cultivation. According to many, when the apples and pears are in bloom, the Betuwe is at its most beautiful. In addition, the Betuwe is an area with a diversity of charming villages and towns, often with references and buildings to a distant past. Rural, idyllic and quiet: those are the characteristics of the area. At the same time, the A2 and A15 motorways are close enough to travel quickly to Utrecht, Den Bosch, Rotterdam or Amsterdam.
